Tis the season to be jolly! If you love Christmas, you probably also love the scent of a real Christmas tree. But living in the centre of a big city usually means you don’t have the space at home to fit a traditional tree.

But don’t be discouraged though. We have been scouring the internet for cool alternatives to substitute the traditional Christmas tree without taking up too much space.

Wall trees are our favourites – they are super easy to do, don’t come with a bazillion ornaments and won’t be needle-shedding evergreen into your home.

These types of wall trees usually come in different sizes and can either be flamed or nature. You can decorate the tree yourself to your heart’s content.

It doesn’t get more minimalist than this : a few pine branches that become a tree. We love the fact that you actually keep the sight and smell of Christmas.

Trees made of tape

All you need to re-create this tree is some coloured tape. You can pick different colours and designs and layer them in the shape of a Christmas tree. No need to decorate and it doesn’t get flatter than this!

This one is made with Washi tape, a Japanese stationery tape used to decorate packages.
