London’s markets have long been an integral part of the city. For some, they’re a land of opportunity – somewhere to get stuck in and find a real bargain. But if you’re willing to commit, you can find cheap and cheerful furniture, as well as hidden gems worth a pretty penny to furnish your home stylishly.

Here are our top picks of where to start your London treasure hunt. Plan to arrive early to guarantee the best bargains haven’t gone, and set yourself a budget to ensure you don’t return home with armfuls of junk.
